Experiencing History with War Video Games |

I found out in High School how much I enjoy the history of countries. Within almost every country’s history there is war and conflict. It is a fact of life that no matter how many people wave peace signs in the air will always be present. This is part of the reason I love war video games. With the countless videos, documentaries, classes and books studied on the world’s major conflicts, it is really cool to play those historic battles with war video games. Bar none, my favorite Xbox 360 games are those based loosely on war history.
Many of the war video games sold online feature popular theaters of war from WWII. This was the last war where the United States came together as a collective to fight a clear enemy. Obviously, we came together as a country after 9/11, which spurred Middle Eastern inspiration for some of the most popular shooter games out now but WWII was the last conflict where our country backed what was happening until we flew our victory flag. It was also the last war with so many tragically epic battles.
